Lycoming College 5, Delaware Valley College 1

WILLIAMSPORT (PA) -- Matt Frey scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Lycoming College to a 5-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

The Warriors improved to 3-5-3 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference while the Aggies fell to 0-12 overall and 0-4 in the Freedom.

Frey opened the scoring on a penalty kick just 3:20 into the contest. However, Matt Dias tied the game for Delaware Valley just three minutes later as Jeremy Fennell sent Dias on a breakaway and he beat Lycoming goalkeeper Ryan Humphreys.

However, Lycoming took command of the game midway through the half as the Warriors scored twice in a 30-second span as Tom McVey notched the first tally and Frey followed with the next. Frey completed his hat trick 18 seconds into the second half and he then assisted on the final goal of the game with 2:39 remaining.

Steve Richtmyer recorded 17 saves for the Aggies, who were outshot 37-10 in the game.
