DeSales University 6, Delaware Valley College 1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Randy Sturm played a part in all six goals, including a natural hat trick in the first half as DeSales University posted a 6-1 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Sturm, who is the reigning Freedom Conference Player of the Year, helped put the Bulldogs (4-2, 1-0) on the board just 93 seconds into the contest as he set up a goal by Daniel Jones. Sturm then took care of the rest in the first half as he scored at 12:03, 14:34, and 25:18 (Kyle Moore assist) into the stanza for a 4-0 advantage.

Delaware Valley (0-7, 0-2 Freedom) opened the second half scoring as Chris Wellington took a feed from Trevor Provost and beat DeSales goalkeeper Rusty Riedmiller six minutes into the half. Sturm and the Bulldogs responded three minutes later as he assisted on German Reyes' tally. Sturm then ended the scoring with 29:30 to go off a feed from Marc Leonard.

DeSales outshot the Aggies, 33-10, and had a 13-0 advantage in corners. Riedmiller and Keith Barry combined for six saves while Nick D'Amato and Steve Richtmyer combined for nine saves for Delaware Valley.
