Haverford College 4, Delaware Valley 0

HAVERFORD (PA) - Haverford College scored three times in the second half, en route to a 4-0 shutout of visiting Delaware Valley College in the opening round of the Jimmy Mills Tournament.

The Aggies (0-4) will now take on Cabrini College in Sunday's consolation game while the Fords (3-0) will battle Goucher for the tournament championship.

Haverford held a 1-0 halftime lead as Ben Schechtman notched an unassisted goal nearly 15 minutes into the contest. It remained that way until the first 26 seconds of the second half when Josh Price took a pass from Charlie Rubin and beat Aggie goalkeeper Nick D'Amato for a 2-0 lead.

Two minutes later, Ben Bowens made it a three-goal game and Panos Panidis followed with a goal off a Schechtman assist for the 4-0 final.

The Fords held a 29-5 edge in shots. D'Amato finished with seven saves while Alec Aramanda and Adam Care combined for three saves and the shutout.
