Men's Soccer

Moravian College 3, Delaware Valley 2

BETHLEHEM (PA) -- Nick Tarquinio scored two goals to give Moravian College a 3-2 home victory over Delaware Valley in a non-conference men's soccer game.

Tarquinio began the scoring 3:20 into the contest off a Ryan Fick assist. The Greyhounds (2-2-1) made it 2-0 before halftime as Fick scored off a Neil Untenahrer feed.

The Aggies (0-6) hit the scoreboard early in the second half when freshman Brian Anderson sent a pass to Tom Pierce and the senior deposited for his first goal of the season.

However, Tarquinio gave Moravian some breathing with his unassisted tally with 8:44 remaining. Delaware Valley pulled to within one goal just two minutes later as Anderson set up fellow rookie Mike Morawski for his first collegiate goal, but that was as close as the team would come.

Moravian held a 19-6 advantage in shots. Freshman Nick D'Amato made his second start for the Aggies and made five saves. Kyle Keller earned the victory as he stopped two shots.
