Lebanon Valley College 3, Delaware Valley 1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Lebanon Valley College improved to a perfect 4-0 on the season as the Flying Dutchmen posted a 3-1 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

Lebanon Valley struck first just eight minutes into the contest as Tyler Frantz scored off an assist by Jason Yarnall. The Aggies (0-4) tied just over three minutes later as junior Brian Bloodgood scored an unassisted tally. It was Delaware Valley's first goal of the season.

However, the Flying Dutchmen notched the final two goals of the contest for the victory. Nick Wanyo gave Lebanon Valley the lead for good with 5:13 left in the first half off an assist from Matt Rich, and Fran Pitonyak set up Eric Nkurunziza's goal with 33:21 remaining in the game.

Delaware Valley was outshot, 20-9, in the contest. Chris Zirpoli and Nick D'Amato combined for 10 saves in the loss. John Mentzer needed to make just three stops for the victory.
