Widener University 6, Delaware Valley 1

CHESTER (PA) - Widener University scored four unanswered goals to pull away from visiting Delaware Valley College and post a 6-1 non-conference victory on Wednesday.

The Pioneers (3-0) scored the first two goals of the game but the Aggies (0-2) pulled to within one with 12:23 remaining in the first half as senior Kyle Knouse tallied his first goal of the season.

However, Widener's Art Davis scored late in the first half and the Pioneers added three more tallies in the second half - including one by Davis - for the 6-1 final.

Nick Farda stopped two shots in goal for Delaware Valley, which was outshot 13-5 in the contest.
