DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Rob Duffy's goal off a penalty kick proved to be the difference as The University of Scranton spoiled Delaware Valley College's Homecoming with a 2-1, Freedom Conference victory.

Delaware Valley (1-8, 0-2 Freedom) had tied the contest with 26:15 left as senior Kyle Knouse scored off an assist by Justin McWhorter. It was Knouse's team-best third goal of the season.

However, just 46 seconds later, the Royals were awarded a penalty kick. Duffy took the kick and blasted it past Aggie goalkeeper Chris Zirpoli.

Scranton (3-5, 1-1) took a 1-0 lead 90 seconds into the game as leading scorer Jeremy Basedow notched an unassisted tally for his fifth goal of the year.

The Royals held a 15-11 advantage in shots. Zirpoli and Scranton goalkeeper Chris Vanaskie had four saves apiece.
