Moravian College 3, Delaware Valley 0

BETHLEHEM (PA) -- The Moravian College men's soccer team won its third consecutive match of the 2002 season, defeating Delaware Valley College, 3-0, in non-conference action Saturday.

Moravian, 3-1-1 and ranked sixth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, received a first-half goal from Anthony Merz and second-half tallies from Tim Shannon and Mike Grillo in the victory.

Delaware Valley (0-6) outshot the Greyhounds, 20-13, in the contest. Nick Farda made eight saves in the first half for the Aggies while Chris Zirpoli played the second half and stopped a pair of shots. Greyhound goalkeeper Ryan Sculley made eight saves for his second straight win and his first shutout of the season.
