Delaware Valley 3, Lycoming College 2

WILLIAMSPORT (PA) - Mick Hannan scored with 23:22 remaining in the second half to life the Delaware Valley College men's soccer team to a 3-2, Freedom Conference victory over host Lycoming College.

With the game scored at 2-2, Hannan drilled a free kick into the lower left corner from about 20 yards out for the game-winner. It was the sophomore's second goal of the goal, both of which have been game-winners. Hannan scored in the second overtime in Delaware Valley's (2-9, 1-2 Freedom) other victory, a 2-1 triumph over Gwynedd-Mercy.

The Aggies jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Ryan Ponnwitz and Matt Gilson. Ponnwitz, a sophomore, scored off a feed from Mike Mayne with 29:24 left in the half. Ponnwitz then set up Matt Gilson for the freshman's first collegiate goal eight minutes later.

The Warriors (4-6-2, 0-3) tied the game as Chris Mason scored both times. His first came with just 1:16 left in the first half and his second tally occurred 13 minutes into the second stanza.

Lycoming held a 15-14 advantage in shots but Chris Zirpoli was solid in net for the Aggies. He stopped 10 shots and picked up his second win on the season.
