Delaware Valley 2, Gwynedd-Mercy College 1 (2 OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Sophomore Mick Hannan scored with 10:40 left in the second overtime as Delaware Valley College snapped a 13-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College.

The Aggies are now 1-7 on the season and it's their first win since a 1-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy last October 11. They dropped the last five games of the 2001 regular season as well as the first-round conference playoff game.

Hannan took a feed from Scott Burcik in the box and put one past Griffin goalkeeper Jason Berkowitz for the game-winner. It was Hannan's first goal of the season.

Burcik helped Delaware Valley tie the game with 7:45 remaining in regulation as he set-up Michael Taylor for the junior's first goal of the year.

After a scoreless first half, Gwynedd-Mercy (1-6) hit the scoreboard 13 minutes into the second stanza as Bryan Payne scored an unassisted goal from long range as Aggie goalkeeper Chris Zirpoli lost it in the sun. Zirpoli came back strong and made six saves, including a crucial stop in the early moments of the second overtime.
