Drew University 3, Delaware Valley 0

MADISON (NJ) - After a scoreless first half, Drew University scored three times in the second stanza as the nationally-ranked Rangers blanked visiting Delaware Valley College, 3-0, in a Freedom Conference game.

The Aggies (3-14, 1-5 Freedom) kept Drew off the scoreboard in the first half despite being outshot 12-1 in the first 45 minutes of the game.

The Rangers, who are ranked 17th in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas Division III poll, was then awarded a penalty kick with 31:10 remaining in the contest. Jonathan Aliaga took the kick and put the ball past Aggie goalkeeper Chris Zirpoli for a 1-0 lead.

Ian Brennan made it 2-0 for Drew as he scored off an assist from Chris Mueller with 15 minutes to go. The final goal was scored with 3:13 remaining as Derek Swanner hit the net off a pass from Siwat Siengsanoah.

The Rangers held a 22-3 advantage in shots. Zirpoli finished with six saves for Delaware Valley.
