Men's Soccer

Albright College 3, Delaware Valley 2

READING (PA) - The Albright College men's soccer team won its first game of the season with a 3-2 home triumph over visiting Delaware Valley College in a non-conference contest. The Lions are now 1-9-2 on the season while the Aggies fell to 2-11.

It was a back and forth contest with Delaware Valley never holding the lead. Brian Stoltzfus opened the scoring for Albright but the Aggies answered in the first half as sophomore Mick Hannan scored his third goal of the season off an assist from Justin McWhorter.

Kyle Nurko gave the Lions a 2-1 lead in the second half but Delaware Valley countered again as Randy Cominski notched his first goal of the year off a feed from Robert Shinn. However, David VanFossen scored the game winner for Albright.

Delaware Valley held a 16-9 advantage in shots. Freshmen Chris Zirpoli and Pat Fackler had five and two saves respectively for the Aggies.
