Delaware Valley 329, DeSales 367

HUNTINGDON VALLEY (PA) - Freshman Nick van Hook posted a round of 81 to lead all golfers as Delaware Valley College downed DeSales University, 329-367, at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club (par 70).

The Aggies, who are the defending Freedom Conference champions, improved to 1-0 in head-to-head matches while the Bulldogs fell to 0-2.

van Hook, who has a match average of 82.3 in his rookie collegiate season, notched the team's best round for the second time this season as he shot a 77 during a fall event. Senior Joe Scioscia was right behind with an 82 while fellow seniors Mike Everingham and Dustin Pierce each shot an 83. Freshman Zach Huston had an 86, but the score did not figure in the team standings.

Mark Arnold and Jon Dillon each shot a 19-over-par 89 to pace DeSales. Sean Casey and Bo Snyder had rounds of 93 and 97 respectively while James Fries' 98 did not figure in the team standings.
