Golf - 2006 Season Archive

Head coach Doug Linde and the Aggies finished the 2006 season with a perfect 5-0 record in head-to-head meets and then placed second at the Freedom Conference Championships.

Delaware Valley, which won the Freedom crown in 2005, registered a 54-hole team score of 960 to trail only FDU-Florham (956) in the seven-team championship field.

Senior Mike Everingham ended his collegiate career on a high note as he captured the Freedom Conference individual championship and was also named the conference's Golfer of the Year. He posted a 54-hole total of 228 to win the crown by one stroke and place one spot higher than his runner-up showing in 2005.

Fellow senior Dustin Pierce finished in the top 10 and earned second team, all-conference honors for the second year in a row. Piece, who was 10th in 2005, took the seventh spot in '06.
