Aggies Place Fourth At Tom Ruggieri Invitational


MIDDLETOWN (DE) - The Delaware Valley College golf team finished tops among Division III teams and placed fourth overall in the 19-team field at the Widener University Tom Ruggieri Invitational held at the Frog Hollow Golf Club (Par 71).

The Aggies notched a four-man score of 319 to trail only Villanova University (303), La Salle University (309) and Montgomery College (314). Neumann College rounded out the top five with a 327.

Individually, Mike Everingham led all Division III golfers and placed third overall in the 96-man field with a two-over-par 73. Dustin Pierce tied for 16th overall with a round of 80 while Shawn Cooper (tied 25th) and Eric Whitmore (tied 32nd) finished with scores of 82 and 84 respectively. Lou Shults did not factor in the team scores, but placed in a tie for the 58th spot with round of 90.
