Delaware Valley 335, Widener 357, Swarthmore 365, Gwynedd-Mercy 392

SWARTHMORE (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College golf team opened its 2003 season by sweeping three matches at the Rolling Green Golf Course (Par 71) on Monday. The Aggies' four-man score of 335 topped Widener University (357), Swarthmore College (365) and Gwynedd-Mercy College (392).

Sophomore Shawn Cooper registered the best score of the day by any of the golfers as he shot a six-over-par 77. Returning Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) medalist Steve McDonald fired an 81 while Mike Everingham and Lou Shults registered scores of 84 and 93 respectively.
