McCANN NAMED MAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College junior linebacker Zach McCann (Royersford, PA/St. Pius X) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Aggies' 36-16 loss at 18th-ranked Salisbury University.

McCann had a career day for Delaware Valley including on special teams where he blocked a pair of second-half extra-point attempts. One of the blocks was returned the distance by a teammate for two points and it kept the Aggies within 14, 30-16, at the time. McCann also racked a team-best nine tackles and 2.5 sacks in the contest.

McCann is fourth on the team in tackles with 20. He is tied for top honors in sacks with 2.5 as well as blocked kicks with two.

Delaware Valley is 0-3 on the season and begins MAC play on Saturday, September when the team hosts King's College.
