PURSELL NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - For the second week in a row, Delaware Valley College senior linebacker John Pursell (Middletown, DE/Middletown) has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Honor Roll following a career performance.

Pursell, who tallied 15 tackles in the season-opening loss at Division I-AA Iona, topped that showing by making 16 stops against two-time NCAA Division III semifinalist and seventh-ranked Wesley College. Pursell also added 3.5 tackles for losses of nine yards, half a sack and a forced fumble in the 24-21 loss. Nine of his tackles came in the first half as the Aggies held Wesley's potent offense to just seven points in the stanza.

Pursell and the Aggies have a bye week before traveling to undefeated Salisbury University for a non-conference game on Saturday, September 22.
