PURSELL NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College senior linebacker John Pursell (Middletown, DE/Middletown) has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Honor Roll for his performance in the Aggies' 14-12 loss to Division I-AA Iona College on September 1.

Pursell, a 2006 Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-American, racked up a game and career-high 15 tackles (eight solo) to lead a Delaware Valley defense that allowed 20 points or less in 12 consecutive games. Four of his stops came behind the line of scrimmage.

Pursell and the Aggies travel to Wesley College on Saturday, September 8 to take on the seventh-ranked and two-time NCAA semifinalist Wolverines.
