In
the last four years, the Aggies have elevated themselves into one
of the top programs in the country. In fact, their .854 winning
percentage is the eighth-highest percentage for all levels of NCAA
play during that time.
Since 2003, the Aggies have won 41 of 48 games, including back-to-back
12-1 campaigns in 2004 and 2005. Both of those seasons saw the Aggies
capture the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship and advance
to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals. They were the ECAC Southeast
Bowl champions in 2003 and the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl runners-up
in 2006.
Delaware Valley's players have received a number of conference
and national honors over the last four years. Record-setting quarterback
Adam Knoblauch was the MAC and ECAC Offensive Player in the Year,
an All-American and a Division III National Player of the Year finalist
in 2005. Knoblauch became just the sixth quarterback in NCAA history
(all levels) to pass for 10,000 yards (11,284) and rush for 1,000
yards (1,549) in a career. His 12,833 yards of total offense ranks
second in Division III history.
Center Damien Ciecwisz also earned All-American honors and was
named the 2005 recipient of the Rimmington Award as Division III's
top center.
Defensive end Anthony Silver was named an All-American in both
2005 and 2006 and earned all-conference accolades in each of his
four years with Delaware Valley. Wide receiver David Carmon (2004),
defensive back Carlo DeAngelo (2003), linebacker Andrew Erby (2004)
and offensive lineman Jamie Kleinle (2004) also earned All-American
accolades from various affiliates. Erby was the MAC Defensive Player
of the Year in 2004.
