King's College 6, Delaware Valley College 1

WILKES-BARRE (PA) - Debbie Wychock scored three goals and Sarah McGrady added two tallies as defending Freedom Conference champion King's College posted a 6-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College.

The Lady Monarchs, who defeated the Aggies in last year's semifinals en route to the conference crown, improved to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the Freedom. Delaware Valley dropped to 8-6 and 0-1.

McGrady and Wychock gave King's a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of the contest. The Aggies cut their deficit in half with 27:24 to go in the first half as Bethany Pavlik struck for her 14th goal of the season.

However, McGrady made it 3-1 less than two minutes later. Wychock then completed her hat trick with a pair of goals in the first 14 minutes of the second stanza. Christina Glenn completed the scoring with 3:28 remaining.
