FDU-Florham 3, Delaware Valley College 1

MADISON (NJ) - Christina Fabian scored two goals as FDU-Florham remained perfect in Freedom Conference play with a 3-1 home triumph over Delaware Valley College.

The loss dropped the Aggies to 11-8 overall and 2-3 in the Freedom with one game remaining - a crucial home contest on Saturday against Wilkes University. Wilkes (2-2) and DeSales University (2-2) had its game postponed because of rains in Wilkes-Barre. Those two squads will now meet Thursday and that game will have a major impact on the playoff implications for Saturday. The final two spots may come down to a number of tiebreakers but Delaware Valley knows that it must win on Saturday to have any chance at the postseason.

FDU-Florham (12-5, 5-0) which stayed tied for first with King's heading into their Saturday showdown, jumped out to a 2-0, first-half lead behind the play of Fabian. She first scored with 21:28 to go in the half off a feed from Ellen Siracuse, and then connected with 12:36 to go off an assist by Jackie Gale.

The Devils made it 3-0 halfway through the second stanza on Krystle Birmingham's tally. The Aggies avoided the shutout with 6:58 remaining as Danielle Heyne notched her eighth goal of the season off an assist from Bethany Pavlik.

FDU-Florham held a 12-6 advantage in shots and a 10-3 advantage in corners. Amy Stafford made six saves in the loss.
