CENTER VALLEY (PA) - Jen Pulcini scored a pair of first-half goals and DeSales University made them stand as the Lady Bulldogs posted a 2-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

DeSales improved to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the Freedom while the Aggies fell to 5-3 and 1-1.

Fourteen minutes into the game, Pulcini got to a loose ball, moved past Delaware Valley goalkeeper Jackie Deschenes and put the ball in the cage for a 1-0 lead. Three minutes later, she deflected a shot from Bethany Hepner for her seventh goal of the season.

The Aggies cut the DeSales in half with 25:22 remaining in the contest as freshman Bethany Pavlik took a loose ball and shot into the top left corner for her fourth goal of the year. However, the team could not get the game-tying tallying as they managed just three other shots the rest of the half.

DeSales held a 22-8 advantage in shots with Molly Pope needing to make just three saves for the win. Deschenes stopped nine shots for Delaware Valley.
