Manhattanville College 5, Delaware Valley 2

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Kelsey Verrillo scored two goals to lead Manhattaville College to a 5-2, Freedom Conference victory over host Delaware Valley College.

The game was tied at 2-2 late in the first half, before Dianne Jones gave the Valliants (5-2, 1-0) the lead for good with just 27 seconds to go. Manhattanville then put the game away with two goals in the second half, including one by Verrillo.

Danielle Lacroix gave the Valiants a 1-0 lead less than six minutes into the game, but the Aggies (4-5, 0-2) tied the game with 21:01 to go before halftime as Tiffany LaRosa set up Kristin Cottman for her seventh goal of the season and the 35th of her career. Cottman, who earlier in the week, became Delaware Valley's all-time leading scorer, is now one goal shy of tying the all-time record in that category.

The teams traded goals later in the first half as Verrillo scored her first goal of the game and freshman Lauren Dubiel countered for the Aggies off an assist by Abby Pensinger.
