Alvernia College 2, Delaware Valley 1

READING (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College field hockey team concluded its 2004 season with a 2-1 loss at host Alvernia College in a non-conference game.

The Aggies, under fifth-year head coach Jenn Wolfgang, went 6-13 while the Crusaders improved their record to 17-2.

Alvernia scored both of its goals in the first half as Becky Macchione and Jessica Titus notched tallies.
Delaware Valley got on the board with 4:31 into the second stanza as Bobbie Fultz scored her fourth goal off an assist from Kristin Cottman. However, the Aggies could not notch the tying goal the rest of the way.

Cottman wrapped up her career as the Aggies' all-time leader in both goals (38) and points (89). The three-time, all-Freedom Conference honoree (a nominee for this season as well) led Delaware Valley this season with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points.
