Delaware Valley 3, Wilkes University 2 (2 OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Senior Lindsay Higgins scored with 4:02 remaining in the second overtime to lift the Delaware Valley College field hockey team to a 3-2, Freedom Conference victory over visiting Wilkes University.

The Aggies are now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play while the Lady Colonels fell to 3-3, 0-1.

Off a corner, Higgins stopped a pass from Shannon Shivak at the top of the key and drilled the ball past Wilkes goalkeeper Desiree Podrasky for her first goal of the season.

Earlier in the game, Higgins helped Delaware Valley tie the contest as she set up Sara Astbury's goal with 4:53 left in regulation.

Junior Kristin Cottman scored the first goal for the Aggies with 8:45 remaining in the first half. Alisha Cain scored both goals for Wilkes. Missy Cannon had six saves in the victory while Podrasy finished with eight stops.
