Muhlenberg College 2, Delaware Valley 1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Jessia Hand scored with 4:09 remaining to keep 10th-ranked Muhlenberg College undefated as the Mules downed host Delaware Valley, 2-1, in a non-conference game.

Sara Fosdick's pass off a corner was knocked into the net by Hand to break the 1-1 tie. The Aggies' efforts to re-tie the game and send it to overtime fell short.

Muhlenberg (6-0) took a 1-0 lead on an Alexa Sterbinsky goal midway through the first half. Delaware Valley (2-2) tied the contest with 5:29 to go before intermission as freshman Jackie Donovan scored her first collegiate goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Missy Cannon was strong in net for the Aggies as she recorded 12 saves in the losing effort.
