Elizabethtown College 4, Delaware Valley 2

DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Kate Gwilliam scored three goals, including one with 10:23 left to snap a 2-2 tie, to lead visiting Elizabethtown College to a 4-2 triumph over Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

Gwilliam, who entered the game with three goals on the season, gathered a loose ball and fired it into an empty cage for what turned out to be the game-winner and a 3-2 Blue Jay lead. Kelly Miller then iced the game with 6:06 to go as her shot deflected off the pad of Aggie goalkeeper Missy Cannon and into the cage.

Gwilliam gave Elizabethtown (3-9) a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal four minutes into the first half. Natalie Stannard tied the game up eight minutes later with her first goal of the year for Delaware Valley (3-8).

The game remained 1-1 until the first six minutes of the second half when Gwilliam scored off an assist by Lauren Potosky. Once again, the Aggies tied it as senior Sara Astbury scored an unassisted goal with 19:56 remaining. The goal was the 26th of Astbury's career as the two-time all-conference honoree moved into sole possession of third place on the Delaware Valley all-time scoring list for both goals and points (57).
