Drew University 3, Delaware Valley 2 (OT)

MADISON (NJ) - Drew University freshman Becky Steinhilber scored with 10:27 remaining in the first overtime to give the Rangers a 3-2, Freedom Conference victory over visiting Delaware Valley College.

The loss spoiled an Aggie (3-7, 1-2) comeback that saw the team rally from a 2-0 halftime deficit on the turf. Delaware Valley made it a one-goal game just 4:12 into the second stanza as Jackie Donovan fed fellow rookie Shannon Shivak for her third goal of the season.

Twelve minutes later, senior Sara Astbury scored off an assist from fellow classmate Lindsay Higgins to tie the contest. The goal was fifth of the year for Astbury, who moved into a tie for third place on the Delaware Valley all-time list for both goals (25) and points (55).

However, Steinhilber found the net off an assist from Colleen Mahon in the extra session to give Drew (6-2, 3-0) the victory.
