Albright College 2, Delaware Valley 1 (2 OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Angela Gardner's second goal of the game came with 3:07 remaining in the second overtime to give Albright College a 2-1 victory over host Delaware Valley College and spoil the Aggies' Homecoming.

The win was just the second of the year for the Lions as they improved to 2-10, while Delaware Valley dropped to 3-10.

Gardner entered the contest with just one goal on the season, but the freshman found the net twice including an unassisted tally in the second overtime for the game-winner. Gardner gave Albright a 1-0 lead late in the first half off an assist from Megan Beidler.

Delaware Valley knotted the contest at 1-1 just 6:55 into the second half as sophomore Tiffany LaRosa scored her third goal of the year off an assist by Sara Astbury. It was point number 58 for Astbury and the senior is now just two points shy of tying 1998 grad Leigh Poust for second place on the Aggie all-time scoring list.

Delaware Valley dominated the contest as it outshot the Lions, 37-19, and held a 23-4 advantage in penalty corners. Marlo Jones recorded 14 saves in her second game in the cage for the Aggies. Kristen Ianieri made 23 stops for Albright.
