Delaware Valley 4, Philadelphia Biblical University 2

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Kristin Cottman scored one goal and assisted on another as Delaware Valley College won its home opener with a 4-2 triumph over Philadelphia Biblical University in a non-conference game.

The Aggies (2-2) jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on goals by freshmen Tiffany LaRosa and Katie Wessner. LaRosa scored seven minutes into the game off a feed from Lindsay Higgins while Wessner followed two minutes later off a feed from Natalie Stannard.

Delaware Valley made it 3-0 early in the second half as Cottman set-up Sara Astbury for her second goal of the year. After a Crimson Eagle (0-4) goal made it 3-1, Cottman iced the contest midway through the second half with an unassisted tally.

Leigh Stiffler stopped nine shots in goal for Delaware Valley.
