Delaware Valley 4, Neumann College 0

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - The Delaware Valley College field hockey team scored three goals in the first half and went on to a 4-0 victory over visiting Neumann College in a non-conference game.

The Aggies upped their mark to 5-11 and snapped a five-game losing streak with the win. Neumann fell to 5-12.

Sophomore Abby Wilson put Delaware Valley on the board with 24:18 left in the first half as she scored her first collegiate goal. Five minutes later, Wilson set up Tiffany LaRosa for the freshman's team-best sixth goal of the season.

Freshman Natalie Stannard made it 3-0 with 6:54 to go before halftime off an assist from junior Lindsay Higgins. Stannard ended the scoring midway through the second stanza with her fifth goal of the year off an assist from sophomore Kelly Geissler.

Delaware Valley held a 26-7 advantage in shots. Leigh Stiffler made five saves as the senior earned third shutout of the year.
