King's College 1, Delaware Valley 0 (OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Kelly Poncheri picked the right time to break King's College's single-season record for goals as her tally with 2:03 left in the first overtime gave the Lady Monarchs a 1-0, Freedom Conference victory over host Delaware Valley College.

King's improved to 10-5 overall and 2-2 in conference while the Aggies fell to 4-11 and 1-3 in the Freedom Conference. Delaware Valley has been eliminated in its quest for a second straight trip to the conference playoffs.

After the two teams combined for 50 shots and 31 saves, Poncheri put an end to the contest and she took a feed from Michelle Baron and beat Aggie goalkeeper Leigh Stiffler in the extra session. The goal was Poncheri'sr 16th of the season to break the school record in that category.

Delaware Valley held a 27-24 advantage in shots. Stiffler matched a season best with 20 saves while Melissa Zemsky stopped 11 shots and picked up the shutout.
