Albright College 3, Delaware Valley 2

READING (PA) -- Albright College scored three unanswered goals to erase a 1-0 deficit and defeat visiting Delaware Valley College, 3-2, in a non-conference field hockey game.

Amy Hummel gave the Aggies (5-13) a 1-0 lead with 28:11 left in the first half as she scored her second goal of the season off an assist from Sara Astbury.

However, the Lions (5-11) notched three straight tallies to take a commanding lead in the game. Tami Correll tied things up four minutes after Hummel's goal. Late in the first half, Christie Patton connected off a Kristin Reilly assist. Sara Hastings made it 3-1 with 20:36 left in the contest with an unassisted tally.

Katie Wessner made it a one-goal game with 7:35 to go as she scored her second goal of the season off an assist from Tiffany LaRosa. Delaware Valley could not get the game-tying goal despite outshooting Albright by a 30-17 margin in the contest.

Senior Leigh Stiffler stopped six shots in net for the Aggies and tied Danielle Rugg's single-season record of 200 saves from the 1997 campaign. Delaware Valley will conclude its season at Widener on Wednesday.
