PPEPSI/WEIS MARKETS TIP-OFF TOURNAMENT - CONSOLATION GAME
Lake Erie College 80, Delaware Valley College 66

SELINSGROVE (PA) - Lake Erie College used a 13-3 run early in the second half and never looked back as the Storm posted an 80-66 victory over Delaware Valley College in the consolation game of the Pepsi/Weis Markets Tip-Off Tournament at Susquehanna University.

Lake Erie (1-1) held a 38-33 advantage at the intermission, but the Aggies (0-2), behind back-to-back jumper by Jessica Ruvolis and a pair of free throws from Kim Vennera, took a 39-38 lead with 18:41 to go in the contest.

However, the Storm quickly answered by scoring 13 of the next 16 points for a 51-42 lead and the Aggies never got closer than six points the rest of the way. Angela Bethel scored six of the 13 points while Allyssa Wagers added five.

Shannon O'Neill was named to the all-tournament team for Delaware Valley as she scored a game-high 24 points, including 19 in the first half. The senior guard was deadly from 3-point land as she connected on six of 10 attempts, including a 5-for-8 showing in the first 20 minutes.

Brooke Dittmar added 11 points and 11 rebounds while Kim Vennera contributed 10 points and five boards in the loss.

Jalisa Mitchell paced Lake Erie with 20 points. Bethel and Renese Ames added 17 points apiece while Tayla Parnell also hit double figures with 14 points.
