FDU-Florham 82, Delaware Valley College 54

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - FDU-Florham jumped out to a 31-5 lead and never looked back as the Devils downed host Delaware Valley College, 82-54, in a Freedom Conference game.

FDU-Florham improved to 6-8 overall and 2-3 in conference action while the Aggies fell to 6-8 and 2-3 in the Freedom.

The Devils came out on fire as they hit 12 of their first 15 shots from the field as they built a stunning, 26-point advantage on the road in the first 9:24 of the game. Emily Cerankowski scored 11 of the points while Danielle Michlovsky added six.

Delaware Valley tried to get back in the game as it scored the game's next 10 points - five apiece by Moira Donohue and Kim Vennera - to make it 31-15 with 7:06 remaining. However, FDU-Florham answered with eight straight, four by Michlovsky, to put the lead back over the 20-point plateau at 39-15 and they eventually took a 49-26 advantage into the intermission. The Devils shot 65.6 percent from the field (21-for-32) in the half while holding the Aggies to a 7-for-26 effort (26.9%).

Delaware Valley made a final run to get back into the game in the second half as it used a 12-2 effort to make it 56-42 with 13:07 remaining. However, FDU-Florham scored the next six and the Aggies never threatened again.

Cerankowski paced the Devils with 22 points while Maureen Kehoe came off the bench and hit seven of 10 shots from the field and finished with 19 points. Michlovsky added 16 points and Jessie Chalmers also hit double digits with 13. Kate Daly did not score a point but dished out nine of her team's 19 assists.

Brooke Dittmar had 13 points for Delaware Valley while Donohue ended the evening with 11. Vennera notched eight points and six boards in the loss.
