Ursinus College 77, Delaware Valley 59

COLLEGEVILLE (PA) - Ursinus College led from start to finish as the Bears posted a 77-59 home victory over Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Aggies as they fell to 4-2 on the young season. Ursinus is also 4-2 this year.

Ursinus jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first seven minutes of the contest. The Aggies went on a 5-2 run to pull to within six, but it was as close as they would come on the evening. Ursinus led by 14, 41-27, at halftime and upped the advantage to as many as 25 in the second stanza.

Shannon O'Neill paced Delaware Valley with 16 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Moira Donohue finished with 13 points while Rachel Joyce added 12.

Four players reached double figures for the Bears, including Mary Kate Daley who had a game-high 19 points. Molly Guntli added 16 points while Jenna Whylings and Sarah Hennessey had 11 and 10 respectively.
