Delaware Valley 79, Chestnut Hill College 58

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Bridget Golden scored 21 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead the Delaware Valley College women's basketball team to its second win a row, a 79-58 triumph over visiting Chestnut Hill College in a non-conference game.

The win evened the Aggies' overall record at 10-10 while the Griffins had their six-game winning streak snapped as they fell to 13-7.

Golden continued her recent tear as the senior center notched her 14th double-double of the season, including the last eight contests. Golden is averaging 16.6 points and 15.3 rebounds over the eight-game stretch, and, with 938 career rebounds, she is just 13 boards shy of tying Lauren Snyder's all-time record.

Golden's performance on Thursday evening moved her into fifth place on the Aggie all-time scoring list with 1,203 points and she is already the school's career leader in blocked shots with 191.

Delaware Valley led 31-22 with 1:28 remaining in the first half, but the Griffins scored seven straight - five by Lindsey Tornetta - to trail by just two at the intermission. The Aggies build the lead as many as 10 in the early moments of the second stanza, but Chestnut Hill made it a five-point ballgame, 45-40, with 12:29 remaining.
