King's College 89, Delaware Valley 55

WILKES-BARRE (PA) -- King's College outscored Delaware Valley, 52-22, in the second half as the nationally-ranked Lady Monarchs posted an 89-55 home victory in a Freedom Conference game.

King's, which is ranked 20th in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play while the Aggies dropped their first game of the season as they fell to 5-1, 1-1.

The Lady Monarchs led 37-33 at the half and led by six, 53-47, with 12:57 to go following a Juli McGowan 3-pointer for Delaware Valley. They then went on 14-0 run to open up a 20-point advantage.

McGowan notched a career-high 23 points for the Aggies as the sophomore shot 8-for-13 from the field, including a 3-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. Junior center Bridget Golden recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Tiffini Varrasse and Jen Wozniak each reached the 1,000-point plateaus in their careers as they scored 15 and 12 points respectively for King's.
