LANCASTER (PA) -- Seven Delaware Valley College players reached double figures in scoring as the Aggies routed Trinity College (Washington, D.C.), 108-44, in the consolation game of the Franklin & Marshall College Tip-Off Tournament.

The 108 points and 64-point margin of victory are the highest totals in the 28-year history of the Delaware Valley College women's basketball program. The Aggies defeated Beaver College (now Arcadia) by 55 points, 104-49 during the 1984-85 campaign.

The Aggies (1-1) scored 54 points in each half and led 54-26 at the break. They shot 51.6 percent from the field (33-for-64), held a 54-40 advantage in rebounds, and limited Trinity (0-2) to just 25.7 percent shooting (18-for-70)

Senior guard Amber Smolinsky was named to the all-tournament team as she followed her 26-point performance on Saturday, with a game-high 20 points against Trinity. Smolinsky upped her career scoring total to 996 and is just four points shy of becoming the seventh player in Delaware Valley history to reach the 1,000-point milestone. Smolinsky also added seven rebounds and three assists in the victory.

Four freshmen reached double figures for the first time in their early collegiate careers, including twin sisters Kate and Jennifer McCarthy who notched 16 and 14 points respectively. The two also combined for 11 rebounds. Juli McGowan scored 14 points while Ashley Ziegler connected for 12 points and dished out a game-high five assists.

Sophomore center Bridget Golden recorded 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while fellow sophomore Jackie Hartzell had career highs of 10 points and seven boards.
