Moravian College 70, Delaware Valley 59

BETHLEHEM (PA) -- Moravian College went on a key, 15-2 run in the second half as the Greyhounds defeated visiting Delaware Valley College, 70-59.

The Aggies (1-7) trailed by just one, 48-47 with 9:33 left as freshman Juli McGowan hit a layup. However, Moravian (6-2) went on a roll and took a commanding 63-49 advantage just four minutes later. Kristin Sarnocinski keyed the spurt with five of her team-high 21 points for the Greyhounds.

Senior guard Amber Smolinsky paced Delaware Valley with 23 points and moved into sixth place on the school's all-time scoring list. Her total of 1,109 points moved her past 1990 grad Michelle Shirk (1,093 points). Smolinsky also added eight rebounds and six assists, but turned the ball over 10 times.

Sophomore forward/center Bridget Golden notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds while also blocking four shots. Fellow sophomore Jackie Hartzell finished with eight points and five rebounds.
