King's College 77, Delaware Valley 63

WILKES-BARRE (PA) -- The inside tandem of Bridget Golden and Sarah Tuffner combined for 40 points and 23 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Delaware Valley College dropped a 77-63 decision to No. 12 King's College in Freedom Conference action.

Golden was 9-for-17 from the floor and 3-foor-4 from the foul line to lead all scorers. She also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds in 37 minutes of action. Tuffner notched a career-best 19 points as she hit five of nine shots from the field and was a solid 9-for-12 from the foul line. She added nine boards and two blocks in 37 minutes.

The Lady Monarchs (18-3, 9-2) led by just one, 25-24, with 5:23 left in the first half when they scored 11 straight points to make it a double-digit game. The Aggies (8-14, 3-8) never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

Tiffini Varrasse amd Jen Wozniak paced King's with 23 and 22 points respectively. Beth Jordan came off the bench to add 15.

Amber Smolinsky joined Golden and Tuffner in double figures with 15 points for Delaware Valley.
