OKI DATA AMERICAS TIP-OFF CONSOLATION GAME
Williamson Trade School 57, Delaware Valley College 44

CHESTER (PA) - Matt Beichey scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds but it wasn't enough as Delaware Valley College dropped a 57-44 decision to Williamson Trade School in the consolation game of the Oki Data Americas Tip-Off at Widener University.

The Mechanics held a 22-18 advantage at the break and scored 27 of the first 38 points of the second stanza to build a 49-29 lead with 6:23 remaining. The Aggie got no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

Beichey was a bright spot for Delaware Valley in just his second collegiate game. The 6-foot-6 freshman was 5-for-11 from the field and 6-for-10 from the foul line. He was limited to just 20 minutes of action due to foul trouble. Fellow rookie Jason Goldheimer added nine points while senior Zack Van Dyke contributed eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Jose Soto paced Willamson Trade with 19 points while Marquis Cuffee added 12. Davar Watson notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also blocked five shots.
