DeSales University 88, Delaware Valley College 59

CENTER VALLEY (PA) - DeSales University shot 58.1 percent from the field, en route to an 88-59 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

The win improved the Bulldogs to 11-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play while the Aggies fell to 1-11 and 0-1.

DeSales led by nine, 21-12, eight minutes into the contest, but Delaware Valley pulled back to within six, 25-19, with 9:52 left in the first half. However, the Bulldogs took control of the contest with a 22-3 run and a 47-22 advantage with 1:47 remaining. They eventually took a 48-28 lead into the intermission and led by as many as 34 in the second half.

DeSales finished the game hitting 36 of 62 shots from the field. Ed Lapinski paced the attack with 24 points on 11-for-13 shooting. Phil Stricker and Eric Salem hit double digits with 15 and 11 points respectively.

Raheem Wiggins came off the bench to score 16 points in 22 minutes of action for the Aggies. Zack Van Dyke added 10 points and five rebounds in the loss.
