Delaware Valley College 70, Penn State-Brandywine 55

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Raheem Wiggins came off the bench to notch 16 points and 10 rebounds while Jason Seipt just missed a triple-double as Delaware Valley College earned its first win of the season with a 70-55 victory over Penn State-Brandywine (formerly Penn State-Delaware County) in a non-conference game.

Wiggins keyed a 12-3 run that gave the Aggies (1-9) the lead good at 52-43 with 10:15 remaining as the freshman forward scored eight points, including a pair of three-point plays. He went 7-for-10 from the field in 19 minutes of action.

Delaware Valley stretched the lead to 13 before back-to-back treys by Andrew Thornton pulled the Lions (5-4) to within seven, 62-55, with 3:48 remaining. However, the Aggies scored the final eight points of the contest - five by Tom Signore and three by Seipt - to pick up the victory.

Seipt, a junior point guard, finished the game with 15 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Signore contributed five points and a game-high 11 rebounds as the Aggies held a 50-35 advantage on the boards. Senior forward Zack Van Dyke netted 11 points in the win.

Jamil Nelson led Penn State-Brandywine with a game-high 21 points. Thornton hit four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points.
