Arcadia University 83, Delaware Valley College 74


DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Arcadia University placed six players in double figures as the Knights recorded an 83-74 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Arcadia (6-7, 2-1) held a 34-28 lead at halftime and upped the advantage to as many as 14, 54-40, with 13:34 remaining. Delaware Valley (1-13, 0-3) scored 20 of the next 26 points, including six apiece by Jason Seipt and Raheem Wiggins, to tie the contest at 60-60 with 7:08 to go.

The Knights scored three straight to regain the lead but it was cut to 63-62 on a Dan MacDonald layup. Arcadia responded with six in a row to up the lead to eight and the Aggies never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

Bobby Mulholland was 8-for-14 from the field and led Arcadia with 21 points. He also added seven rebounds and five assists. Eric Elliot followed with 13 points while Sterling Green added 11. Kevin Brown, Glen Gagnon and Terrell Varnado finished with 10 points apiece.

Seipt paced Delaware Valley with 21 points and eight assists, including 19 points and six helpers in the second half. Wiggins came off the bench for 18 points and five rebounds while Matt Beichey and Tom Signore added nine and eight points respectively.
