(PA) - Lycoming College scored the first 11 points and never looked
back as the Warriors registered a 72-56 triumph over visiting Delaware
Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.
The Warriors (9-8, 2-4 Freedom) needed just 18 seconds to score
as Kevin Morris drained the first of his seven, 3-pointers on the
afternoon. David Wilson followed with a trey and Morris then hit
another 3-pointer and a layup for an 11-0 lead. The Lycoming lead
grew to 15, 36-21, at the break and increased to as many as 25 in
the second stanza.
Morris was 7-for-13 from downtown and finished with 25 points. Greg
Sye and Wilson added 14 and 11 points respectively.
The Aggies (3-14, 1-5) were paced by Eric Lawton's 15 points. Bill
Gelsomini and Jason Seipt followed with 14 and 10 points respectively
while the conference's leading scorer, Isaiah Pinckney (19.8 avg)
was held to 2-for-11 shooting and seven points. He did dish out
five assists.
