DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Lebanon Valley College shot 54 percent from the
field and had 14 players hit the scoring column as the Flying Dutchmen
registered a 92-65 victory over host Delaware Valley College in
a non-conference game.
Lebanon Valley (5-2) never trailed in the contest and the game
was tied just once at 3-3 in the opening minute. The Flying Dutchmen
scored the next six points, including five by Hunter Bretschneider,
and never looked back.
Lebanon Valley eventually led 34-24 at the intermission, and it
was still a 10-point ballgame, 38-28, two minutes into the second
stanza. The Flying Dutchmen then scored 14 consecutive points, including
five by Kyle Enoch and four from Jimmy Curan, to build a 52-28 advantage
with 13:45 to go.
The Lebanon Valley lead swelled to as many as 35 as the team shot
64.7 percent from the field in the second half and finished the
night with a 34-for-63 performance. The team also held a 50-23 advantage
on the boards.
Bretschneider led the balanced attack with 11 points while Peter
Ruth added 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Curran, Enoch
and Matt Staub contributed nine points apiece.
Sophomore guard Jason Seipt came off the bench and scored a career-high
19 points in just 24 minutes for the Aggies (2-5). Isaiah Pinckney
notched 13 points before fouling out and Zack Van Dyke also hit
double figures with 12 points.
