FDU-Florham 81, Delaware Valley College

MADISON (NJ) - FDU-Florham used a 16-3, first-half run to build
a double digit lead and the Devils went on to an 81-54 victory over
visiting Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.
The Aggies (4-16, 2-7 Freedom) used a Zack Van Dyke 3-pointer and
an Isaiah Pinckney layup to pull to within two at 11-9 with 12:54
remaining in the first half. However just six minutes later, the
Devils (14-6, 6-3) knocked the lead up to 15 at 27-12. They eventually
took a 39-21 advantage into the intermission and then shot 53.1
percent from the field in the second stanza while outscoring Delaware
Valley, 42-33, in those final 20 minutes.
Pierre Schmidt connected on 10 of 12 shots from the field and finished
with a game-high 22 points. He also added eight rebounds. Milton
LaCroix contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds as 12 different Devils
hit the scoring column in the game.
Pinckney finished with 16 points for the Aggies while Eric Lawton
and Josh Taylor had 11 apiece. Taylor was top man on the boards
with seven and the senior also blocked four shots.
