Basketball Lycoming College 93, Delaware
Valley 85 WILLIAMSPORT (PA) - Delaware Valley College ended its
2005-06 season with a 93-85 loss at Lycoming College in a Freedom Conference game. The
Aggies finished with a 5-20 record overall and a 2-12 mark in conference play.
The Warriors, who will enter the Freedom postseason next week, improved to 15-10
overall and 9-5 in the conference. Lycoming scored the first 11 points of
the game and eventually built a 59-39 halftime advantage as the Warriors 56.3
percent from the field and went to the foul line 15 times more than Delaware Valley
in the first 20 minutes. Lycoming built its lead to as many as 25 in the
second half and still held an 89-66 advantage with 4:43 remaining. The Aggies
made a desperate rally and outscored the Warriors, 19-4, the rest of the way but
it wasn't enough. Jonathan Pribble paced Lycoming with 24 points and 12
rebounds in 31 minutes of action. Kevin Morris added 18 points and seven boards
wile Greg Sye (16), Dave Wilson (11) and Brad Musser (10) also hit double figures.
Musser also added a game-high 10 assists. Isaiah Pinckney led five Aggies
into double figures with 19 points. The guard will now enter his senior season
just 35 points shy of the 1,000-point milestone. Zack Van Dyke (16 points, 11
rebounds) and Maurice Slaughter (14 points, 10 rebounds) each had double-doubles
while Pat Lenahan and Jason Seipt added 14 and 10 points respectively. |
